Getting There

Emery is now in a big kid bed. It has been so much easier than I had originally dreaded. I really thought sleeping and staying in the big bed would be a constant, weeks upon weeks battle. But, like usual, my easy-going kid has proved that she can handle it. At night we have no problems. She lays down and doesn't get up. Nap time is a little harder, but so far had more successes than failures. Most days I just have to lead her back into bed once or twice, then we're good as gold.

I'm so glad that God knows us better than we know ourselves; because he knows that patience is not one of my strongest assets. I daily pray James 1:19, that I be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry. He is so good and faithful to know us best. He knows how easily I can be overwhelmed by a strong-willed child and  Emery can be very strong-willed, but also so good with listening and learning and following directions. He compliments her strong will with the willingness to listen and follow! What an amazing Creator we have! I am so thankful for her and the perfect way that God has made her. It makes me even more anxious to see what part our dear, sweet, Eladie will play in our family! I believe they will compliment each other perfectly and God will continue to bless us as I continue to pray James 1:19 and seek Him and His ways.

(P.S. Still no offers for our house...please continue to pray for that!)

Our House

Ok world. Meet our house. It is a very nice 3 bed, 2 bath 1274 sq/ft home with a large and open living/dining room with a window view of the kitchen. The second bath is in the master bedroom (which I love), and there is also a bonus toilet in the basement next to the washer and dryer hook ups. The yard is nice and green and plush with a new deck on the back. The yard is also fenced. Good for the dog. The carpet is brand new. We never even walked on it with our shoes on. Always shoes off at the front door or garage door. We did all the updates ourselves. We really love this place.

My biggest hang up with the house?

IT WON'T SELL!!

Yep, been on the market for 2 years in June. Been through 3 realtors. Been through MANY price drops. Been through people coming through, looking at it, getting our hopes up, then having them stomped down, down, down to the ground.

I'm not completely and totally complaining because God and done some serious providing for us. What I'm asking for is serious prayer. We need the right person to come through and take this beauty off our hands. I'm even going to add some pictures so that you can pray as specifically as you know how; for the people who will sleep in the bedrooms, use the kitchen, entertain in the living room.

I believe that God WILL sell it in His PERFECT timing, but I'm also not going to not pray and ask for prayers.

Update

*How far along?: 34 weeks
*How big is your baby?: Approx. 4.7 pounds
*Total weight gain?: 7 pounds
*Sex: Girl
*Maternity clothes: I was lucky enough to wear regular pants until week 19, but now I just wear the same things...I can wear my normal shirts (with some stretching, obviously), but I want to take advantage of the few maternity clothes I have. Maternity clothes are way too expensive.
*Stretch marks: None so far!
*Movement: She is a tickler. She does a lot of kicking to my right side.
*Sleep: Same as always...my head hits the pillow and I'm out. I get up a few times a night to pee, but go right back to sleep. I also don't sleep with any extra pillows or anything. They keep me awake.
*Best moment this week: Not really sure, but we're almost there.
*Food cravings: Milk
*Labor signs: None
*Belly button in or out: If I had a lent problem, this would be the best time to resolve it. My "outie" kinda creeps Ryan out.
*What I miss: Playing with Emery without limitations...she really likes to run and crazy-dance. I am also a stomach sleeper.
*What I'm looking forward to: Having my body be mine again! (Although I am thrilled to have this little baby girl...she's just crampin' my style!)
